Southern Schools

Greetings Raider Nation! Since 1999 I have been employed with Southern Schools. I first served the district as a Reading Recovery teacher for three years. I then moved to the classroom, where I taught first grade for 13 years. Currently, I am the Elementary Reading Coach/Title I Instructor. My education /credentials include; graduating from Odell High School, completing my B.S in Education from Peru State College and M.A. Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane College. I also hold a Reading Recovery certificate which was completed through Emporia State University. My husband, Jamie and I, live in Beatrice and have 2 daughters, Abby and Erin. Our family keeps very busy with the girls’ activities. You can find us most weekends at the soccer field, basketball court or golf course.
