Regan Barr

Class of 2002

December 15, 2016

Regan Barr graduated from Southern High in 2002. While in high school, he played wrestling, football, and golf. He was involved with the Future Business Leaders of America for a short time and played trombone until his mother allowed him to quit.

Regan’s favorite class would have been either Civics or Geometry. His favorite staff members were Mrs. Bachman who taught English or the lunch ladies who made exceptional monster cookies!  Regan’s favorite thing about high school was the opportunities he had to be a part of activities. He believes if he were in a bigger school he would have been cut from sports and such.

While in high school, Regan could not wait to grow up and get started with real life! Regan said, “This is a normal thing for teenagers in high school.” However, Regan misses the small stressors like what time curfew was or if he had gas money.

He would not have pictured his life the way it is now while he was in high school. He doesn’t believe anyone really would have or can. Regan applied for the Naval Academy but was rejected. He was always thinking about the military, but never thought he’d be in the Army and living in Germany.
